Alberto CitterioKeyboards and piano

Born in 1985, he began studying piano in 1992 at the age of 7 at the school "Music Center" in Meda and then at "G.Marziali" in Seveso. In 1999 he was admitted to the Conservatory "G. Verdi" in Milan. Under the guidance of M° Cristina Carini in 2006 he graduated in piano. He participated in several musical events held at the Conservatory, including the piano festival 2002-2003 organized by the prestigious "Società dei Concerti".

Classically trained, has always followed with interest and played a lot of other musical genres, taking in jazz special attention. In this sphere, he improved his piano playing under the guidance of M ° Carlo Uboldi.

In 2009 he was awarded "in recognition of outstanding musicianship" at the Berklee School of Music in Boston at the Umbria Jazz clinics held in Perugia in conjunction with "Umbria Jazz Festival".

2010 is the year of its first publication in jazz with the album "Blue Hammers" recorded with his trio and published by the label Music Center.

In 2011 participates in the international seminars of specialization at "Siena Jazz" with world renowned piano teachers such John Taylor (Kenny Wheeler's pianist), Kenny Werner (Brad Mehldau's teacher), Franco D'andrea ( founding member of Perigeo) and Stefano Battaglia.

He played in several groups in the area of Milan and Como, playing jazz, lounge, blues & soul and progressive rock.

In 2007 he founded together with Paolo Colombo FEM Prog Band, which after several lineup changes, today sees Emanuele Borsati (dr, vc), Marco Buzzi (bs), Giacomo Balzarotti (vc, gt), Paolo Colombo ( gt, vc) and Alberto Citterio (keys, vc).

Alberto teaches piano privately and in music schools SIM in Seregno and Nerolidio in Como giving piano lessons, classical and jazz harmony and music theory.
